Cable Lugs (SKP)

Cable lugs are connection components that ensure the safe and reliable connection of electrical cables to each other or to electrical equipment. These lugs are manufactured from materials with high current and temperature resistance, making them suitable for industrial environments, especially against mechanical stress, vibration, and harsh environmental conditions. Typically consisting of two parts, they are designed to fit tightly onto the cable, and the compression process is completed using a dedicated crimping tool.

Altınsoy cable lugs are designed to provide perfect conductivity, high resistance to external conditions, minimum arcing, and maximum cable holding strength. The main product of our range is Copper SKP, supported by compatible Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP Type, Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP Switchgear Type and Splice Sleeves (Joint Ferrules) as complementary solutions, offering a wide application portfolio.

All our products are certified in accordance with TS EN 61238-1-1 and TS EN 61238-1-3 standards and are supported by type test reports obtained from accredited laboratories.

Copper SKP cable lugs are manufactured from high-purity copper rods, and their surfaces are protected by tin plating. This increases corrosion resistance and ensures low contact resistance at the connection point.

Our products are safely used in all MV/LV applications requiring reliable connections such as power distribution panels, switchyards, cable terminals, and motor supply lines. Thanks to their high mechanical strength and impact resistance, they provide stable and long-lasting connection performance after crimping.

Copper SKP Cable Lugs are available in:

  • DIN Type

  • TSE Standard Type

  • ECO Type (for more economical solutions)

These three different head options offer wide application flexibility for both new installations and maintenance/renewal works.

Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP Type

Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP type cable lugs are designed for the safe connection of aluminum conductors to copper busbars or copper terminals. Thanks to the special bimetal transition zone, the risk of galvanic corrosion between aluminum and copper is minimized, while low contact resistance is maintained.

Our fully domestic bimetal lugs are manufactured in compliance with TS EN 61238-1-1 and TS EN 61238-1-3 standards, and their quality is certified through type tests conducted in accredited laboratories.

Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP – Switchgear Type

The Al-Cu (Bimetal) SKP Switchgear Type is specially designed for busbar connections inside panels, circuit breakers and switchgear connection points. Its compact body structure and mounting holes provide easy placement and fast installation inside panels.

The bimetal transition surface ensures a safe and long-lasting connection between aluminum conductors and copper busbars. Thus, it stands out as a complementary product that can be used together with the Copper SKP product family, especially in internal panel connections.

Splice Sleeves (Joint Ferrules)

Splice sleeves are components manufactured from high-purity electrolytic copper, used for the joint connection of low-voltage cables. They preserve both the mechanical strength and electrical continuity of cables, ensuring that power transmission is carried out safely and efficiently.

Splice sleeves are offered in two groups: Standard Type and DIN Standard Type. These products are manufactured with the same high quality standards as Copper SKP and Al-Cu SKP products and are widely used as a complementary solution for field applications.

Fully Isolated Connectors

Electrical connections are of critical importance in terms of safety and reliability. Fully isolated connectors are special products designed to create strong and secure connections, offering the following advantages:

  • Fully isolated connectors can be installed easily and quickly, and are preferred since they provide higher safety.

  • Designed to be waterproof.

  • Suitable for connecting all commonly used conductors, including insulated aluminum and copper conductors.

  • Used for connecting insulated network lines to service lines.

  • Corrosion at contact points is prevented by using contact grease.

  • Thanks to the rubber material used around the contact, moisture at the contact points is prevented.

  • When the torque shear bolt on the fully insulated clamp is tightened, it pierces the LV ABC insulation, creating a deep groove and a wide contact surface on the conductor.

  • Contacts are made of electrolytic copper plates, ensuring excellent conductivity and very high tensile strength.

  • Installation and removal under voltage are possible with the use of required protective equipment.
