Silicone Insulators

Silicone insulators have become the modern alternative to porcelain insulators thanks to their high flexibility, lightweight structure, UV resistance, and superior hydrophobic properties. The high-strength fiberglass reinforced core positioned between two metal fittings provides both mechanical strength and electrical insulation. The polymeric composite outer surface offers excellent protection against pollution, moisture, and environmentally caused leakage currents.

Altınsoy Enerji’s silicone insulators are manufactured with a strong focus on long service life, safety, and ease of maintenance. Compared to traditional porcelain insulators, their lightweight structure simplifies transportation and installation processes. In addition, their elastic design makes them highly resistant to mechanical impacts and allows them to maintain their shape even under sudden temperature changes. These characteristics make silicone insulators especially ideal for use in harsh climate conditions.

Widely used in power transmission and distribution lines, transformer substations, and MV/LV systems, silicone insulators provide long-term reliable service with their high corrosion resistance, low surface current, and superior sealing performance. Thanks to their hydrophobic (water-repellent) surface, they effectively prevent leakage currents even in polluted and humid environments, significantly increasing system safety.

Advancements in material engineering have led to the rapid adoption of composite materials in the energy sector. The development of silicone-based polymers has created a major transformation in insulator technology. As a result, silicone insulators not only improve durability but also reduce maintenance costs and enhance operational continuity.

At Altınsoy Enerji, all of our silicone insulators are designed, tested, and manufactured in compliance with international quality standards. From production to installation, we maintain engineering precision at every stage. Our goal is to provide safe, efficient and long-lasting solutions for energy infrastructure systems.
